Dr. Likins earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina and received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he has been involved in clinical education, research, and patient care.

Throughout his medical training, Dr. Likins has demonstrated a strong commitment to ophthalmic research and education. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national ophthalmology conferences, with work spanning topics including laser vision correction, refractive surgery, retinal vascular disease, and other areas of eye care.
